Last night, I went to a party wearing my glasses. Why? Because
A) It was just my good friends
B) They're pretty nice (the only thing by Prada that I own)
C)I was tired, damn it!
I walked in, and amidst the "hellos," one friend simply said, "Hot!" I replied, "Huh?" He continued: "Liking the glasses. I love girls in glasses. Hot." This particular friend is absolutely gorgeous, and more than a little bit of a womanizer. Moral of the story: guys DO make passes in girls who wear glasses!
Glasses are awesome. I wish I still needed them. I've never seen your face or anything, but the black thick framed glasses look excellent on blondes. Especially with a nice b;ack headband.
ReplyDeleteI don't get to wear my glasses much because I take dance every day (and, you know, it's a bit difficult to do pirouettes and jetes when something might fly off your face), but whenever I do, people seem to like them. They can be a fun accessory, especially if, like me, you can't wear them very often!
ReplyDeletewhen i stopped using my contacts, i first thought that i had to try to look sexier so my glasses won't make me too nerdy but then i realized that i don't have to try to look a hooch or anything like that. Once a person finds glasses that are flattering to their face they really don't have to change their wardrobe. ( i know, hoochie is a horrible look, furtunately as a teen i never got too into that look)

ReplyDeleteA quick disclaimer: In my slightly hung-over, must-do-shakespeare haste, I made it sound as though I was condoning his womanizing. I'm not. In fact, as attractive as he is, and as lovely a friend as he is, I wouldn't touch him with a ten foot pole. Rather, I was expressing that women tend throw themselves at him (and then promptly regret it after).
i love my glasses. i get more guys than i have jeans when i wear my glasses. maybe i just have that face type

ReplyDeleteYou know, we've had so many "My glasses make me sexy" posts thusfar that I really don't think there should be any doubt about wearing glasses in public! It's a good thing to do!
ReplyDeleteSo true about guys! Once I went out with my glasses on because I wanted to be left alone. Strangely they had the opposite affect.
ReplyDeleteI have been dying to get glasses similar to those but yet again my vision has been declared 20/20. Maybe I should get them anyway, is that silly? I like to accessorize in all sorts of ways.
