Oh, baby

Wow, my entry titles have been incredibly tacky lately. I'll work on that.

Ok, now you all know that I'll post (lots) on Project Runway soon, but I'll need more time to do that, so I'm going to talk about the best part of spring fashion first. . .

BABYDOLL DRESSES ARE BACK IN STYLE! You know, it's funny, I was in Chicago this summer (fabulous city, if you've never been, I'd highly recommend it), and I was talking to a friend who's probably about five years older than me. I'd been shopping, and our conversation went something like this:
Me: It's my highest aspiration in life to own a pair of ballet flats in every color of the visible spectrum.
B: Yeah, well just remember, I once felt that way about babydoll tops.
Me: Actually, I think that's coming back in. . .

I love being right! Babydolls are back in with a vengeance, and I do hope they're here to stay. They flatter almost all body types, they're pretty and girly without being too serious, they're easy to dress up or down, and, if you ask me, they're MUCH better over jeans (or leggings, if you must--I actually don't mind leggings too much) than this season's tight tunic-dress things were, and they're just easy and fun and really, really cute. Plus, they're easy to get vintage or used. So yeah. They're just nice. And sweet. And fun. Yay!
