I can't believe I'm invited to two parties tonight, and I'm skipping them both because New York City is covered in a foot of motherfucking sleet. Even my practical shoes (suede, low-heeled grey boots) won't stand up to the weather. So totally not fair.

Nice language. It's slushy and gross here too. That's why I went to the Shoe Company and bought bohemian slouchy boots for $50.00.
Then I waterproofed them. They're really pretty.
But I think you should've gone to one of the parties. We can't let Mother Nature win. We must stand up and fight.

Yeah, I thought about censuring the swear, but I was pissed. You should post pictures of your boots. And I should have just sucked it up and taken a cab to the parties, but I prefer to spend my money on clothes. ;)
Hehe. Me too. I'll try to get a picture posted ASAP. Eight days until my glorious second home, Hawai'i! i've so far spent two months of my life there. It's lovely. Excited? Me? NO.
